Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Thursday approved a mega project for rainwater drainage and sewage systems in major cities of the province. For the first time in the history of the province, a CM Punjab New Sewage System will be launched in all major cities. A special program has been established under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in which detailed information or instructions will be given on the Punjab Development Program and approval will also be given for its implementation.

This CM Punjab New Sewage System will significantly improve the drainage and sewage infrastructure in the province, addressing long-standing issues in urban areas. The project, part of the Punjab Development Program, will enhance the overall living standards in major cities.

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف نے جمعرات کو صوبے کے بڑے شہروں میں بارش کے پانی کی نکاسی اور سیوریج کے نظام کے لیے ایک میگا پراجیکٹ کی منظوری دے دی۔ صوبے کی تاریخ میں پہلی بار تمام بڑے شہروں میں وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نیا سیوریج سسٹم شروع کیا جائے گا۔ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز کی زیرصدارت خصوصی پروگرام ترتیب دیا گیا ہے جس میں پنجاب ڈویلپمنٹ پروگرام سے متعلق تفصیلی معلومات یا ہدایات دی جائیں گی اور اس پر عملدرآمد کی منظوری بھی دی جائے گی۔

Punjab Development Program for Urban Infrastructure

Under the Punjab Development Program, areas with a population of more than 100,000 will be treated in 189 cities for drainage of sewage and immediate drainage of rainwater, and construction of paved streets and other necessary and developmental works.

Under the Punjab Development Program, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has immediately made a plan for 189 cities with a population of more than one lakh and in the program it has been stated that sewer bypasses will be built to improve the sewerage system and a station system will be built to drain the water. Storage tanks will also be built to drain the rainwater immediately. The water in these tanks will be used to supply crops and for other necessary purposes.
